Breath and the Central Channel
Drawing from the Krishnamacharya/Desikachar tradition, Leslie will guide participants into the core principles of breath-centered yoga. Through experiential practice and anatomical insight, we will explore how coordinated breathing, spinal movement, and subtle awareness open the sushumna nadi—the body’s central channel. This session introduces “vertical axis integration,” combining asana, bandha, and pranayama to support an embodied experience of balance and flow along the central pillar of practice.

Alignment, Proprioception, and Breath-Based Integration
What does it mean to “align” in yoga? Leslie reframes alignment not as imposing external ideals but as cultivating proprioceptive and interoceptive awareness—the inner intelligence that guides safe, effective movement. Through inquiry and practice, participants will explore functional principles of musculoskeletal support, the role of breath-centered cueing, and the importance of adapting alignment to individual structures.
This weekend of workshops is a portion of the Embodied Philosophy's Yoga Teacher Training that is available for one-off purchase.
